Payment Card Industry (PCI) upgrades Acuvent’s solution to Level One compliance status
Acuvent, a leading Australian provider of online event management software, is pleased to announce the upgrade of its solution from Level Two to Level One compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
“Our customers are very conscious of the security of their data, and so we’re pleased that our solution now achieves the highest rating set by the international standard” Managing Director, Graham Beale says.
The service provider designation for Level One PCI compliance signifies that all payments and credit card transactions sent through Acuvent’s solution meet the highest standards possible for data security. In order to achieve PCI Level One status, networks and data security procedures went through an extensive and thorough third-party audit process.
The PCI Security Standards Council - which was founded by American Express, MasterCard Worldwide, Visa Inc., Discover Financial Services and JCB International, - have defined stringent credentials and qualifications for various levels of PCI compliance. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organisations proactively protect customer account data.
The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design, and other critical protective measures.
Acuvent’s solution joins a select group of only 1,000 service providers worldwide that have been awarded PCI Level One status, including Amazon, Oracle, Fidelity, and PayPal.
